"We enjoyed our stay by the peaceful creek! Great host and a really comfortable cabin with everything we needed! It was perfect for our weekend spent over at Snowbird! (Super close to SWO camp). Thank you!! "

"Most adorable cabin by the creek. Very relaxing and separated from the neighboring campsites or cabins. Supplied with everything I need, and very close to town in case I needed creature comforts. Owner communicates effectively and made sure I could get in with no fuss. Definitely booking again when I stay in the area. This is a better deal than nearby hotels and such."

"The campsite is on land that is surrounded by beautiful views of mountains. The creek was relaxing and the lightning bugs made it so dreamy. Ed is a great host and very accommodating. The camp itself was peaceful and quiet. My only regret was not having booked a longer stay as there are so many outdoor activities and scenic places to enjoy. This would be a campsite I would visit again."

"This is by far one of the most relaxing places I've ever camped at, Site 9 was amazing and I will definitely be staying again. We stayed in the primitive section, and Site 9 is all the way at the end and very secluded. All sites back up to a runoff creek from the Valley River, nestled in between the mountains, and majority of the time that babbling brook is the loudest sound there is. We got lucky coming in mid-June and there were fireflies every night, but no mosquitos, it was literally perfect."

"Simple 'tiny home' style cabin, located on a small campground and river. The cabin was very clean, and had nice amenities for a weekend getaway. There is spotty cell service in the area in general, but the cabin had stable internet (30 Mbps download speeds) which did not give us any issues. We spent most of our time on the screened-in porch enjoying the sound of the river. The only hiccup on our trip was not having the correct lockbox code, but Ed was quick to answer our call and give us the correct code. The local grocery store/downtown is close, and there is a gas station with basic essentials across the highway. If you want a quiet vacation to unplug and enjoy nature, this is the place for you, we would definitely return!"

"We adore this cabin. We come in to listen to bands at the Blue Stage and love how close this is to hiking and downtown. It's always a beautiful view with nice stream while sipping coffee on that lovely screened porch!"

"Second time in the NC mountains; first time in a cabin. Family of five from Florida. We loved this cabin! We had been wanting to do this for a while now, and we're so glad we found this little cabin. Very relaxing. We stayed for a week and were able to disconnect and reconnect. The peace, the views, the front porch with the river, the drives through the mountains. We had an amazing time. Ed's hospitality was spot on. Thank you! Definitely recommend this cabin. PS: We're into astronomy. The night sky here is amazing. Find a dark spot and look up. You'll see so many stars!"

"Our night at Mountain Riders Riverfront Camping was a pleasant evening by the river. Our friendly host, Ed, and his canine compatriot, Rambo, warmly welcomed my husband and me shortly after our arrival. He ensured we had everything we needed for our stay, and when a rain shower came a bit later in the afternoon, even offered us refuge under an awning in the nearby RV area. During our short stay at Mountain Riders Riverfront Camping, we tented by the edge of the riverbank. The camping plot was well-maintained with a fire ring, outdoor charcoal grill, and a simple toilet facility. Our favorite part of our stay at Mountain Riders Riverfront Camping was the sunset. The campground is nestled in a valley, so the shadows and sorbet color palette of the descending sun marked the end of the day in surreal, panoramic brilliance. Shortly after, the river’s undulating murmur peacefully lulled us to sleep. The next morning, after having had a quiet night’s sleep, my husband and I were ready to break down camp and get back on the road. Thank you for sharing your Hipcamp with us, Ed. My husband and I appreciate your hospitality."

"My family and I loved the deer cabin! It had a country feel, but with a modern touch. It was very clean and up-to-date, not the type of country home that feels old, outdated, and touching things makes you feel gross (LOL! Frequent travelers know what I mean!). There were reasonable rules, nothing ridiculous, and very few (for example, take the trash out by 10 am, run the dishwasher before leaving). The cabin was located on a quiet piece of land. The cabin was not secluded like we thought, there were other cabins close by, but it was private enough. The creek running in front of the cabin was wonderful! You could hear it flowing all day long which added to the nature feel and peacefulness. And an added bonus, there are 2 rocking chairs on the cabin’s porch facing the creek so early morning coffee and tea, while listening to the creek, and talking with my wife was like a dream…AMAZING! We took advantage of the fire pit and made a campfire for s’mores which the kids loved. As you can tell, we really enjoy ourselves and look forward to returning in the future! Thanks, Ed!"

"What a great hidden gem located on the water! Full hook-ups & lots of privacy! Location is perfect for exploring the area…Nantahala, Bryson, Blueridge, Ellijay, Blairsville, Maggie Valley, Waynesville. I hate to even share these kind of finds, but Ed is such a great guy that is truly pouring his heart into creating the perfect destination, I’ve gotta promote Mountain Riders. We stayed 5 nights in our Airstream right on the water with our 2 goldens. It was perfect! He also has some cabins, tent camping, and adding some glamping tents that are going to be Fab! If you love nature, no frills, no hustle bustle, no uptight campground rules, just respect the property, and your neighbors, then you will love this place like we do! Thanks for your hospitality, Ed! Looking forward to returning!"

"This cabin is beautiful. It looks small from the outside but they have maximized the space inside. Everything about it was great. The bedroom has plenty of storage for clothes and luggage. There are so many nice details from the soft reading lights above the master bed to the black makeup towel in the bathroom; Too many thoughtful details throughout to list. The fireplace made it so cozy for our early breakfasts. We loved the screened-in porch. There is an Ingles close by which is so nice and we were able to get our groceries and make every meal at the cabin. It is fully stocked. This let us disconnect and enjoy each other’s company and let us enjoy time at the cabin. It’s also close to Wayah Bald Lookout. I could have sat out on that back porch for hours listening to the creek. If quiet and calm is what you’re looking for then this place is perfect. Nicole is great at responding to any questions you may have. 10/10 recommend. I cannot wait to come back."

"We had a great weekend at Ed’s! It was my wife, our dog and I in Site 9, and some very friendly folks staying next to us in Sites 8 and 7. We got in late after dark and had a bit of trouble navigating to the site once we were on property. It’s a big field with tall grass and a couple car tracks running through. We got to our spot with the help of our friendly neighbors and settled in. In the light of the morning it was clear that Ed had cut some of the grass around the campsites, which helped a little with the morning wetness. The creek running by the campsite was the highlight for me, providing great scenery, lovely sounds, and I even got lucky to catch a little brook trout steps from our camper door. Ed was available to answer our questions by phone/text and we got to see him on the property Saturday, very nice guy. It’s truly primitive camping with no frills (and no toilet as the port-a-John had been unexpectedly removed the day of our arrival), but it was easy to get to, close to a ton of great spots like the Nantahala, and a fantastic place to relax and enjoy the incoming fall weather."
